How to install RStudio on your computer

1 Download and install RStudio

Install RStudio via SDU ITs Software Center.

You will find the RStudio installation program for your operating system on RStudios website

1.0.1 Step 1

There are four different programs, that you can download for your computer – make sure, yoiu download the one entitled RStudio Desktop Open Source License Free. Click the blue ‘DOWNLOAD’ button.

Follow the download link to the RStudio download website:

1.0.2 Step 2

You will now be presented with several download options – make sure you choose the download appropriate for your operating system (click the blue text link in the column ‘Download’).

Important

Choose the right link in the column now Download: Windows, MacOS or your Linux distribution.

Install the program as per usual procedure for your operating system.

Once you have installed RStudio, check that it is functional as expected:

Click the Start menu button, look for RStudio and click to confirm, that RStudio is installed.

Run the GUI app, as per your specific distribution.
